Wheel of Names ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
The short version: we collect as little as possible and store nothing personal on our servers. Your wheel data lives in your browser.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or store:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
- The entries or names you add to your wheels.
- Account credentials (there are no accounts).
- Payment information (the Service is free).
- Your IP address in a way that is linked to your wheel data.
3. Local Storage
Your wheel configurations, entries, results history, and app settings are stored entirely in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser will reset your wheels.
4. Shareable Links
When you use the Share feature, your wheel's entries, colors, and optional title are encoded directly into the URL using Base64 encoding. This data is embedded in the link itself — no data is sent to or stored on our servers. Anyone who has the link can view and use the wheel.
Be mindful of the content you put in shareable links, as anyone with the URL can access it.
5. Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The Service uses only browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember your settings between sessions. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are placed on your device.
6. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., how many people visit the site). If analytics are enabled, they collect only anonymized, aggregated data such as page views and general geographic region — never your wheel content or individual identity.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may load fonts or other resources from third-party providers (such as Google Fonts). These providers may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, etc.) as part of their normal operations. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, correct, or export on your behalf. However, you have full control over your local data:
- Delete your data: Clear your browser's localStorage for this site in your browser settings.
- Export your data: Use the Open/Save buttons to export and import your wheels as JSON files.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
